Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi

Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi was a renowned Islamic scholar, thinker, writer, journalist, and social reformer. He was born on 25 September 1903 in Aurangabad, Hyderabad State, British India. He authored numerous influential books on the Quran, Islamic philosophy, politics, economics, society, and ethics. One of his most celebrated works is Tafhim al-Quran, a comprehensive commentary on the Holy Quran. He founded Jamaat-e-Islami in 1941 and made a significant contribution to modern Islamic thought and literature. He passed away on 22 September 1979.
